ok, this post might sound as durh as the previous one to some of you, but when it happened, i waz actually quite amazed. most of you readers are prolly very well-verse with the skills involved, but i waz juz rather impressed by the fact dat pple like to do such things in their free time. its rather interesting actually. considering dat i like to dabble in such creative stuff, i might actually be intd in it soon (ive already got my copy of the adobe photoshop). :) and there are so many cool fonts ard! (ok, i sound sua gu..)

anyway, my student noted dat my msn pic is rather dark, so he decided to spruce it up for me. however, he not only made it brighter, he also embellished it with some patterns. here's how it happened:

Ok, this probably counts as one of my durh-est posts. I just want to say that I'M AT RAFFLES LINK PACIFIC COFFEE COMPANY NOW. They have 2 computers here for customers to use, and its kinda not crowded here, so I just logged on to MSN and Blogger to commemorate the event. Hahah. I've been here the whole afternoon, marking and helping my friend to mark, and I'm feeling super hungry now but we are still waiting for more friends to come so we can go eat dinner at either Suntec or Marina Square - both of which have many many happening food places. Anyway, in a rather random fashion, I witnessed 3 smoking students yesterday. Although I already knew way before that they smoke, it was still sad and sianz to see them in action right before my eyes. Ok, I hope my friend comes soon. I'm famished. Ok, end of durh post.

As mentioned (in my tag replies), there is an appointed time for my next blog entry. As that auspicious date draws near, I thought perhaps I should break the hiatus with some random updates on my life recently, with pictures, no less.

Activity 1
There was this day where I had to trod down a long lonely lifeless road..
Along a green grim stretch of fences..
Along this road less travelled, I was greeted by signs that threatened to put some bullets through my head if I only trespassed the premises behind those green fences which, all these while, were only centimetres within my reach..
As such, as I was sneakily snapping away, I was totally unaware that, all these while, I was being watched..

And after that arduous journey, I finally arrived at my destination >>
KAKI BUKIT CENTRE (PRISON SCHOOL)!
Well, whatever you are thinking now, you are totally wrong! I have not been sentenced there for slapping some student or for blogging incessantly about students' (mis)behaviour. I was assigned to give oral exam to a candidate there.
It was a place of many many many gates, as foretold by the heavily-fenced barricades. Every corridor had 2, one on each end, and as we passed through each gate, it had to be locked before we could proceed on. Thus, there were alot of opening-crossing-locking of gates until we finally reached the designated classroom. The arena was well-kept and neat and everything looked prim and proper and in their place while we were there. Everyone was courteous and knew their place, greeting the teacher i/c as we walked by. The candidate actually performed quite well, much betta than many of our other candidates from other schools.

Activity 2
Recently, I also went to the k-box at marina square - famed for being one of the newer outlets and having one of the more excellent lunch sets. However, even though we made a prior booking, we had to queue to get in (which does not make sense at all). Finally, when they realized it was a bad idea to get customers to queue for no logical reason whatsoever, they also realized they had no more rooms for us. I would have stormed into a rage if not for the following:

Our own bar counter, pool table (but you have to pay a whopping 80 bucks to use it), super big screen (with a small stage to boot - we can finally live out our dreams of being a star! - staging a concert! that is the reason pple frequent ktvs wat..), and super comfy and spacious sofa - ALL FOR THE PRICE OF A NORMAL ROOM.
However, it was to our utter aghast and horror when the attendant came in to tell us that there were no longer anymore happz lunch sets for us (even tho we had made prior reservations). Isn't that atrocious? What's the point of making reservations then? In the end, we had to da bao our own bk from downstairs. Altho they did give us another free drink and charged us half price for the room ultimately, it was no doubt a staging of yet another fiasco of the cmi service industry of our beloved sunny island.

Activity 3
Ok, for the next segment, I cannot post too many pix, if not pple might think that I am proud.

Thank you, guys and gals, for the kind words and gestures.

Some worthy mentions..

Erm.. yes, a pail from my form class..

and erm..

yes, the thingy you use to pump your sink when it gets stuck..

I'm still bewildered why I got them for Teacher's Day.

And of coz, finally, not forgetting this..

To those who paid to vote, thank you very much. Pls do not spend such money next time again. To those from the class who paid to vote, I'm thankful for your support. I know you guys spent alot of money on this. Pls do not spend such money next time again. I was kinda in a dilemma as you guys voted just after I scolded you guys. I was deciding if I should talk about this in class the next day and forget about making everyone stand outside the classroom. Its truly a love-hate relationship I have with you guys. And my greatest wish is that you guys will blossom to become like this one below..

Activity 4

To make sense of the following pix, you'll have to read about the FourESixers first.

It was great to see you guys at the dinner. Thanks for coming. It meant alot to me and it was fun.
